Living with multiple sclerosis isn’t easy at all, and we completely understand that, but once you overcome that sadness and fear, you need to know one more thing – your family suffers too.
Sometimes people who are not sick, but have someone who is, are often even more depressive, because they see their loved one fighting against a disease and suffering and they can’t help him/her.
You need to keep in mind that people who love you, such as your family members and close friends are experiencing a similar set of emotions.
So you need to understand that, because they along with you are full of strong emotions and they are expressing them in different ways, so that’s why it is important to listen to each other.
All of you need to know that everyone is coping with problems in a different way, so if you have someone who isn’t expressing his/her feelings all the time, that doesn’t mean that he/she is not suffering.
And on the contrary there are people who are constantly complaining about something and then you would think they are having hard time coping with MS which doesn’t have to be the case.
You need to work as a team, and that will make everything easier. You will enhance your lives and together you will find a way to get this through and handle the changes in your lives.
You need to remember that people who love you will always be there for you and they only want what’s best for you. Keep that in mind, and embrace their support.
